2020 Annual Meeting and Elections
The 2020 LSA Annual Meeting and Elections will be held at Cabela’s in Gonzales, LA on Sunday, March 8, 2020 in the upstairs meeting rooms. Registration will open at 10:00 AM. Members may join or renew at the meeting.

Vermilion Chamber is pleased to announce our 2nd Annual Pistol Competition on Saturday, August 24. 2019.
Place: LA Range Gun Club
313 W. Lafayette St. (Hwy 92), Maurice, LA
Enjoy a day of competition, fun and camaraderie! The competition is open to all levels, from beginners to the more experienced shooter.
- LA Range Gun Club will be furnishing pistols for the competition. All individuals will be utilizing the same model pistol.
- Ammunition for the competition will be furnished to all competitors. 9 mm frangible ammunition will be used for the competition. This ammunition is designed for use in ranges as a Lead Free Option, Frangible ammunition will be used to prevent ricochet and shoot through creating a reduction in collateral damage. Competitors should bring their own eye and ear protection. If needed, you can rent from the range.
- Match will be shot in flights. Project flight times will be: 8:00 am; 10:00 am; 12:00 pm; 2:00 pm. Each flight will have no more than 15 competitors.
- Each competitor will have two runs through the course. Scoring will be based on accuracy and time. The combined score of the runs will determine the winner.
- Competition will be tactical. Each lane will have a different type of target.
- Safety and safe firearms practice and handling are essential to the safety of all. Range officers will be pre- sent to ensure safety and safe firearms practice and handling. Any safety violations will result in disqualifi- cation from the tournament. Registration fees will not be refunded.
- Food and drinks will be provided by the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce to all participants for each of the flights.
- All shooters must attend a safety briefing before the match and turn in release forms before shooting. Be prepared to arrive 30 minutes before your assigned flight time for the safety briefing.
- No alcoholic beverages will be allowed during the competition.
- Cost for each competitor: Early registration—$60; Registration after August 5: $70.
- Awards will be given to:
Amateur: Best in each Flight time, Overall Winner (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) Experienced: Best in each Flight time, Overall Winner (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)

Directions from Baton Rouge
- Take I 10 east to Sorrento/Donaldsonville exit (#182) right onto Hwy 22 and Left at the caution light onto Hwy 70.
- Go across the Sunshine Bridge and continue on Hwy 70
- Shortly after you cross railroad tracks bear right onto Hwy 3089 (Hwy 70 goes to the left) Take 3089 into Donaldsonville.
- Go to the 4th red light and turn left on to Hwy 308. (Mobile gas station to your left, American Bank to your right)
- Go 2 ½ miles on Hwy 308 and turn right at Hwy 943. Cross the bridge over Bayou Lafourche and cross Hwy 1 and continue on Hwy 943 for about 3 ½ miles.
- Hwy 943 will make a sharp right turn and the range will be on your left about 200 yards after the turn.

Directions to the Range: Exit I-210 at LA-14 and go south on LA-14 for 10 miles to Holmwood, LA. Continue south from Holmwood for 0.5 miles on LA-27 to Old Camp Road. This will be the firs road on the right. Go 50 yards west on Old Camp Road, and turn right inot he first lane by the sign reading, “Shooting Range.”
